Our growing Fintech company seeks an accomplished Deputy CFO to strengthen our financial leadership in Lausanne, Switzerland. In this pivotal role, you will collaborate with the Chief Financial Officer to drive financial excellence, enhance reporting mechanisms, and develop strategic initiatives supporting our ambitious growth plans. Key Responsibilities

- Partner strategically with the CFO to oversee all financial operations, ensuring precision, regulatory compliance, and operational effectiveness.

- Manage the preparation and analysis of comprehensive financial statements according to Swiss GAAP FER, IFRS, and Swiss Code of Obligations requirements.

- Develop and implement sophisticated financial processes, policies, and controls that enhance efficiency and scalability across the organization.

- Build and mentor a talented finance team, fostering professional growth and expanding departmental capabilities.

- Oversee Swiss and European VAT compliance processes, optimizing tax positions while maintaining strict adherence to evolving regulatory requirements.

- Direct payroll administration functions, including accurate management of social security contributions and taxation for domestic and international staff.

- Perform in-depth financial analysis that delivers actionable insights and strategic recommendations to executive leadership.

- Spearhead specialized projects focused on financial infrastructure enhancements, system implementations, and process automation initiatives.

- Establish robust internal controls that safeguard assets and ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations.

- Create detailed financial forecasts and budgets, diligently monitoring performance metrics against established targets.

- Liaise effectively with external auditors during annual audits and specialized engagements.


Required Skills & Qualifications

- Advanced professional qualification in Finance or Accounting (CPA, CFA, Swiss Expert in Accounting and Controlling, or equivalent).

- Minimum 8+ years of progressive experience in finance roles, with at least 4 years in a senior financial management position.

- Comprehensive knowledge of and practical experience applying Swiss financial standards, including Swiss Code of Obligations, Swiss GAAP FER (2023 version), and IFRS.

- Proven expertise in Swiss payroll administration, including social security requirements and current taxation frameworks.

- Thorough understanding of Swiss and European VAT regulations, including the 2023/2024 reporting requirements and digital submission protocols.

- Demonstrated success implementing and optimizing financial systems and processes in growth-oriented environments.

- Exceptional analytical capabilities with the ability to transform complex financial data into strategic business recommendations.

- Outstanding organizational and planning skills, with proven ability to manage competing priorities effectively.

- Strong leadership qualities with verifiable experience developing high-performing finance teams.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, facilitating effective collaboration across multiple departments.

- Native or fluent French and fluent English communication skills, both written and verbal.

- Track record of successful digital transformation initiatives within finance functions.

- International experience managing multi-entity financial consolidation and reporting.

- Additional European language capabilities (German, Italian).
