As an Office 365 Support Engineer, you'll serve as a vital technical resource for internal employees, delivering responsive support through Microsoft Teams and ServiceNow platforms. This position offers flexible work scheduling while requiring Japanese language proficiency to support international stakeholders. You'll join an established team working on innovative life sciences projects with significant global impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide prompt, effective technical support for the Microsoft 365 suite, resolving user issues across multiple channels including Microsoft Teams and ServiceNow.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot complex technical challenges within the Office 365 environment, particularly focusing on SharePoint, Teams, Exchange Online, and Azure Active Directory.
- Execute SharePoint site migrations and implement best practices for content management and collaboration.
- Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts to automate administrative tasks and streamline Office 365 operations.
- Document comprehensive Office 365 configurations, procedures, and issue resolutions within knowledge management systems.
- Participate actively in daily team meetings to remain current on IT policy changes and share support activity updates.
- Deliver user training and educational resources to enhance productivity and adoption of Microsoft 365 applications.
- Implement and maintain security best practices within the Office 365 environment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address intricate technical challenges.
- Stay current with Microsoft's cloud service updates and implement new features appropriately.
Required Qualifications
- 2-4 years of hands-on experience with Office 365 administration and support in an enterprise environment.
- Japanese language proficiency at upper-intermediate level or higher.
- Demonstrated expertise with SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business, Exchange Online, Microsoft Teams, and Azure Active. Directory
- Proven experience with SharePoint site migrations and content management.
- Strong PowerShell scripting capabilities for Office 365 administration and automation.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities with structured approach to issue investigation and diagnostics.
- Outstanding communication skills with ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
- Experience providing remote technical support in a global environment.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining strong team collaboration.
- Microsoft certifications (MS-900, MS-100, MS-101) or equivalent experience.

- Familiarity with life sciences industry terminology and workflows.
- Experience with ServiceNow ITSM platform and integration with Office 365.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft PowerApps for creating custom business applications.
- Microsoft Power Automate (Flow) knowledge for workflow automation.
- Understanding of ITIL processes and service management frameworks.
- Experience with Microsoft Intune and endpoint management.
- Additional Microsoft certifications (AZ-104, SC-900).
- Experience supporting hybrid Office 365 environments.
- Knowledge of compliance requirements in regulated industries.
