Senior Manual QA Engineer | Remote Quality Assurance Specialist

Key Responsibilities - Perform thorough functional testing of web applications and generate detailed test reports documenting findings. - Execute and validate client-server API testing to ensure seamless integration between system components. - Develop comprehensive test plans and scenarios from technical requirements or collaborate with development teams to create testing strategies. - Maintain regular communication with development teams to address quality concerns and provide testing insights. - Create and assign bug tickets to developers with clear reproduction steps and severity classifications. - Process and investigate user-reported bugs coming through technical support channels. - Conduct manual regression testing while meticulously documenting results in project management tools. - Analyze recurring patterns in user-reported issues to identify underlying system weaknesses. - Test and support the company's web services, ensuring consistent performance and reliability. Required Qualifications - 4+ years of professional experience in manual quality assurance for web applications. - Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies including functional, regression, and exploratory testing. - Experience with test case design techniques and best practices in test planning. - Proficiency in API testing using tools like Postman, SoapUI, or similar. - Familiarity with bug tracking systems such as Jira, Bugzilla, or equivalent. - Understanding of web technologies including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. - Experience working in Agile environments with distributed teams. - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. - Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly document and explain technical issues. Advantageous Skills - Knowledge of Java programming language for testing purposes. - Experience with testing frameworks like Selenide 6.x and JUnit 5 for potential transition into automation testing. - Practical experience with load testing tools such as JMeter 5.5 for performance validation. - Understanding of SQL for database testing and validation. - Experience with version control systems like Git. - Background in testing educational or content-rich platforms. - Knowledge of security testing principles and methodologies. - Previous experience working with remote, distributed teams.
