Key Responsibilities: - Design and execute comprehensive encode/decode performance tests through our specialized automated test system. - Analyze and evaluate encoding efficiency and power consumption metrics for various video codecs. - Develop detailed competitive analysis reports for both internal teams and external clients. - Effectively communicate benchmarking results to cross-functional teams including sales, software development, and hardware engineering. - Enhance and maintain our video encode/decode automated benchmarking infrastructure for both Linux and Windows environments. - Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot benchmark server farm operations and networking setups. - Identify performance bottlenecks and recommend optimization strategies for video processing pipelines. - Stay current with industry developments in video codec technologies and benchmarking methodologies. Required Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience. - Demonstrated proficiency as an advanced Windows user with system administration capabilities. - Fundamental Linux knowledge including command-line operations and basic system management. - Proven experience in developing and maintaining automated testing frameworks. - Working knowledge of data analysis techniques and statistical evaluation methods. - Competency in scripting languages, with Python (3.8+) being strongly preferred. - Intermediate English proficiency for clear written documentation and verbal communication. - Experience with performance benchmarking and reporting methodologies. - Ability to work independently in a remote environment with minimal supervision. Nice to Have Skills: - Hands-on experience with FFmpeg (version 5.0+) and various hardware/software video codecs (H.264, H.265/HEVC, AV1, VP9). - Background in benchmark or test automation development for multimedia applications. - Programming skills in C/C++ for low-level performance optimization. - Advanced Python knowledge for complex data manipulation, visualization, and analysis. - Experience with Docker containers for test environment standardization. - Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices. - Understanding of video quality assessment methodologies (PSNR, SSIM, VMAF). - Knowledge of GPU acceleration technologies for video processing (CUDA, OpenCL).
