Key Responsibilities - Spearhead incident management processes—from initial triage and impact assessment to root cause analysis and comprehensive resolution reporting. - Implement sophisticated diagnostic procedures to troubleshoot complex technical issues within high-load financial systems. - Design and develop new features using PHP 8.x and Symfony 6 framework that enhance our brokerage solutions. - Refactor legacy code bases to improve performance, maintainability, and security posture. - Conduct detailed log analysis using advanced parsing techniques to identify system anomalies before they affect production. - Create proactive monitoring systems that prevent potential incidents through early detection. - Document technical processes, incident resolutions, and system architecture for knowledge preservation. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into elegant technical solutions. - Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality standards and facilitate knowledge transfer. - Optimize database queries and storage procedures for high-transaction financial environments. Required Skills & Qualifications - Minimum 4+ years of professional PHP development experience with demonstrable backend expertise. - Comprehensive knowledge of Symfony 5+ framework, including its service container, event dispatchers, and security components. - Advanced proficiency with MySQL database optimization, including complex joins, indexing strategies, and query performance tuning. - Demonstrated ability to analyze system logs across distributed architectures to isolate and resolve intricate technical issues. - Experience with Git version control, including branch management and conflict resolution strategies. - Exceptional problem-solving capabilities with an analytical approach to complex system challenges. - Strong written technical communication skills in English (Upper-Intermediate or higher)—essential for documentation and cross-team collaboration. - Proficiency in RESTful API design principles and implementation patterns. - Understanding of modern PHP development practices, including dependency injection, ORM concepts, and design patterns. Nice to Have - Previous experience in formal Incident Management roles within technology organizations. - Certification or practical experience with ITIL/ITSM frameworks and their application in software environments. - Experience with alternative PHP frameworks such as Laravel or CodeIgniter. - Working knowledge of Python or Java for cross-platform integration projects. - Hands-on experience configuring and optimizing message brokers like RabbitMQ and Apache Kafka. - Demonstrated history maintaining high-load systems processing 1000+ transactions per second. - Background working with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or specialized data warehousing solutions. - Practical implementation of Avro/Protobuf serialization formats in production environments. - Advanced proficiency with the Atlassian suite, particularly JIRA for issue tracking and Confluence for technical documentation. - Domain knowledge in financial markets, trading systems, or brokerage operations. - Experience with containerization using Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes. - Understanding of CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar tooling.
