Key Responsibilities - Architect and execute comprehensive cloud migration strategies, including suitability assessments, planning, business case development, and implementation coordination specifically for Microsoft Azure environments. - Design application modifications for optimal cloud compatibility, ensuring performance enhancement and architectural integrity throughout the migration journey. - Conduct thorough workload assessments and inventory analysis of on-premises environments, complete with detailed performance metrics and precise cost estimations. - Perform in-depth evaluations of on-premises database servers and chart strategic migration pathways to Azure Data services, including Azure SQL Database, Cosmos DB, and Azure Synapse Analytics. - Develop comprehensive Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) analyses, highlighting potential cost savings and ROI opportunities from Azure migration initiatives. - Create meticulously detailed documentation for Azure landing zone configurations, incorporating security frameworks, governance models, and compliance requirements. - Serve as the principal Subject Matter Expert (SME) for cloud migration technologies, providing technical leadership and strategic guidance throughout project lifecycles. - Implement robust disaster recovery solutions leveraging Azure's native resilience capabilities. Required Skills - Demonstrable expertise in Disaster Recovery and migration strategies on Azure, including extensive experience with Azure Backup, Site Recovery for both DR solutions and migration pathways. - Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience in infrastructure design, build, and deployment across diverse environments, encompassing private/public cloud, networking, connectivity solutions, storage optimization, virtualization technologies, and access control frameworks. - Proven experience with migration readiness and planning tools, including Azure Migrate, Data Migration Assistant, Azure Database Migration Service, and Azure Site Recovery Planner. - Successful track record executing migrations from various source environments to Azure, including VMware, Hyper-V, and physical server workloads. - Proficiency with Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates, Bicep, or Terraform for Infrastructure as Code implementations. - Strong understanding of the Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF) and Well-Architected Framework principles. - Excellence in technical documentation and stakeholder communication. Nice to Have - Active Microsoft Azure certifications, particularly Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, or Azure Administrator Associate. - Experience with containerization technologies and orchestration platforms (Docker, Kubernetes, AKS). - Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions. - Knowledge of security and compliance requirements for regulated industries. - Background in performance optimization and Azure cost management. - Previous consulting or client-facing technical role experience.
