We are seeking an experienced Senior Field Service Engineer with expertise in industrial automation systems, electrical installations, and control systems implementation. In this remote role, you will work directly with clients to implement, maintain, and optimize advanced automation solutions while providing exceptional technical support and training to end users.


Key Responsibilities

- Analyze customer requirements and provide expert recommendations for industrial automation solutions that align with their business objectives.

- Respond promptly to customer inquiries and implement effective troubleshooting methodologies to resolve complex technical challenges.

- Execute and oversee all onsite installation, repair, maintenance, and testing tasks for industrial automation systems and electrical controls.

- Create comprehensive functional and technical documentation of implemented systems, ensuring clarity and completeness for future reference.

- Maintain detailed working logs of all system updates, modifications, and maintenance activities, including completion dates and performance metrics.

- Design and deliver professional training programs for end users, focusing on system optimization best practices and maintaining consistency across user experiences.

- Evaluate existing automation programs, review proposed changes, and implement improvements to enhance system efficiency and performance.

- Manage multiple client projects simultaneously, ensuring on-time delivery within established budgetary constraints and exceeding quality expectations.


Required Skills & Experience

- 1-3 years of hands-on experience in electrical installations (residential or industrial), electrical controls, or automation systems for batching.

- Minimum 1 year of experience implementing industrial automation software systems with proficiency in modern PLC programming (Allen Bradley, Siemens, or similar).

- Demonstrated expertise in SCADA systems, HMI configuration, and industrial communication protocols (Modbus, Profinet, EtherNet/IP).

- Strong understanding of industrial sensors, actuators, and control devices commonly used in automation systems.

- Experience with electrical schematic reading and interpretation for troubleshooting complex systems.

- Proven ability to identify problem areas through effective questioning and active listening techniques.

- Advanced proficiency in machine automation, mechanics, and industrial electronics with demonstrated troubleshooting capabilities.

- Experience providing technical hardware guidance regarding installation, operation, and maintenance to diverse customer representatives.

- Superior verbal and written communication skills with the ability to produce clear, concise technical documentation.

- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation, or related technical field (or equivalent practical experience).


Nice to Have

- Experience with Industry 4.0 technologies and IoT integration in industrial environments.

- Knowledge of machine learning applications in predictive maintenance or process optimization.

- Familiarity with energy management systems and efficiency optimization in industrial settings.

- Experience with industrial robotics integration and programming.

- Certifications in relevant technologies (e.g., Allen Bradley, Siemens, Wonderware, Ignition).

- Experience with data analysis tools for performance monitoring and system optimization.

- Knowledge of industrial safety standards and regulations (ISO, IEC, NFPA, etc.).
