Senior SAP ERP MM/SD Consultant & Architect | Remote Position

We're seeking an experienced Senior SAP ERP Consultant specializing in Materials Management (MM) and Sales & Distribution (SD) modules to join our growing team. In this remote position, you'll lead the architectural design and implementation of SAP solutions for retail clients, focusing on procurement processes, inventory management, and sales operations. Your expertise in SAP MM/SD will drive business transformation initiatives across our client portfolio while enhancing system performance and user experience. Key Responsibilities - Analyze and gather comprehensive business requirements for SAP ERP system enhancements and customizations within retail environments. - Design and develop technical and architectural solutions within the SAP MM/SD modules, creating detailed project concepts and implementation roadmaps. - Configure and customize SAP ERP systems (including S/4HANA 2022) to meet specific client requirements, with a focus on retail industry processes and best practices. - Create functional specifications and perform system customizations independently when required, ensuring alignment with business objectives. - Lead integration efforts with other SAP modules and third-party systems, particularly EDI/EDI operators and e-commerce platforms. - Conduct thorough functional and integration testing to ensure solution quality, performance, and seamless user experience. - Provide expert support for complex incidents, maintaining a development/support balance of approximately 75/25. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement best practices in procurement processes, including service procurement, fixed assets, and inventory management under SPP elements. - Navigate multiple concurrent projects (2-3 tasks) with shifting priorities while maintaining quality deliverables and meeting deadlines. - Participate in strategic planning for SAP platform evolution, considering emerging technologies and integration opportunities. Required Skills & Experience - 3-6 years of hands-on experience with SAP ERP MM and SD modules, including recent versions (S/4HANA 2021 or 2022). - Strong knowledge of SAP roles, authorizations, IDOCs, and ABAP debugging capabilities for troubleshooting complex issues. - Demonstrable expertise in procurement business processes, including service procurement, fixed asset management, and inventory control under SPP elements. - Retail sector experience is mandatory, with a deep understanding of retail-specific SAP implementations and customizations. - Experience with SAP S/4HANA is highly desirable, particularly with the latest releases and Fiori interface implementation. - Proficiency in integrating SAP with EDI/EDI operators and comprehensive understanding of electronic digital signature principles and implementation. - Excellent problem-solving abilities with a customer-centric approach to solution design and implementation. - Strong communication skills with the ability to listen to and understand client needs, accept and develop perspectives, and present arguments constructively. - Self-directed work ethic suitable for remote collaboration, with the flexibility to occasionally connect after hours to resolve critical incidents. Nice to Have - SAP certification in MM or SD modules, particularly with S/4HANA specialization. - Experience with SAP Fiori apps and user interface design for improved user experience. - Knowledge of SAP Analytics Cloud or integrated reporting solutions for business intelligence. - Experience implementing SAP in international retail environments with multi-currency and multi-language requirements. - Familiarity with agile project management methodologies and DevOps practices in SAP environments. - Understanding of SAP commerce solutions and their integration with MM/SD modules for omnichannel retail operations. - Experience with SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) for extensions and custom developments. - Knowledge of SAP MDG (Master Data Governance) implementation and best practices.
