We are looking for SQL Server Database Administrator (Senior).

Location: US, Europe (to be able to work in the same time zone - PST) 

A good grasp of English is required to communicate properly with Senior Devs on the customer team.

Senior/ Middle Database Engineers(DBA)

Server Management:

• Installing, configuring and maintaining PostgreSQL, the servers and tools;
• Installing, configuring and managing replication databases;
• Performing Database backup & recovery procedures. Creating backups, testing backups sustainability.

Database Management:

• Access Management;
• Implementing database monitoring & automation;
• Monitoring database performances, design and development of SQL and PL/pgSQL code;
• Provide guidance and support to Application Developers;
• Identifying low perform queries and performance tuning;
• Owning security compliance;
• Mitigating database-oriented risks and creating policies for high availability on databases;
• Implementing high-availability, clustering and replication for databases, performance and capacity;
• Managing data and database versions;
• Implementing DR procedures;
• Other job duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Three (3) or more years of experience with PL/pgSQL coding;
• Three (3) or more years of experience with Postgres;
• Expertise in SQL;
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills;
• Good communication, teamwork and negotiation skills;
• Experience in DML and the principles of database design;
• Business awareness and understanding of business requirements;
• Understanding of compliance regulations (privacy, financial).

We need an engineer, who'd be responsible for DBA on the external project as a 0,5 FTE and internal BI reports specialist using Qlik Sense software - another 0,5 FTE.

Expected time zone GMT+3.

Requirements:

• Experience in Database Development/Architecture;
• Good knowledge of PostgreSQL architecture, administration experience, monitoring, and tuning DBMS performance;
• Knowledge of SQL at the level of a database developer (stored procedures/functions, analytic functions, JSON functions, custom types.);
• Ability to build an optimal data storage scheme (data model) for a formulated business requirement;
• Experience in optimizing SQL queries, database structures, analyzing incidents and problems in the operation of the database;
• As a great advantage:
• Experience with any BI tool (like Qlik, Tableau, Power BI).
• Experience with Git;
• Experience with AWS;
• Experience with MS SQL;
• Experience in setting up backup and recovery of databases;

Your core responsibilities in this role:

• Implementation of new features using PostgreSQL, work with support tickets;
• BI reports creation using Qlik Sense software.
